Jerry Wadsworth is the third generation to carry the family electrical tradition forward — and the first to do it as a Colorado Master Electrician running his own shop in the Northern Colorado region he calls home.

Jerry founded Wadsworth Electric LLC on June 8, 2020, dedicated to both superior electrical services and superior customer service. The Wadsworth name in electrical contracting stretches back to 1947, when Jerry’s grandfather Richard “Dick” Wadsworth established the original family business.
He began his electrical career at age 16 as a shop boy for his grandfather’s business, working summers and weekends before starting his apprenticeship. In 2006, he relocated to Fort Collins, CO, attending night classes at Front Range Community College while completing his apprenticeship.
While at CSU, Jerry secured a Field Engineer position with The Industrial Company — gold mines in Nevada, a $323 million Duke Energy Power Plant in North Carolina, oil fields in the DJ Basin. He returned to Colorado, completed his Construction Management degree with Cum Laude honors, and helped design the Cinemark Movie Bistro and XD Theater in Fort Collins.
In 2020, Jerry passed his Colorado Master Electrician Exam and launched Wadsworth Electric LLC, bringing 19 years of experience from nine states to serve Northern Colorado.
